Learn About Our Different Packs:
savENRG ® Ice Packs -26˚C (-15˚F)
savENRG® Ice Packs are manufactured using a salt-hydrate-based phase change material (PCM) that solidifies as the surrounding temperature drops from -20°C to -30°C (-4°F to -22°F), and melts by absorbing heat as the temperature rises from -30°C to -20°C (-22°F to -4°F).
savENRG® PCM Ice Packs are an excellent dry ice substitute for shipping frozen preterm nutrition products, plasma, and many vaccines that utilize a -15°C to -25°C temperature range control during transportation.
savENRG® PCM Ice Packs are multi-use dry ice substitutes used to keep frozen products below -20°C (-4°F). This dry ice substitute requires no special safety or handling precautions, is non-hazardous, and is not subject to DOT or IATA restrictions on air cargo.
Biological samples, plasma, and vaccines shipped on dry ice overnight using a courier service have a high likelihood of exposure to extreme ambient temperatures. Dry ice availability and restrictive transportation regulations greatly increase the risk of delayed deliveries and may result in total loss if the product is no longer frozen upon arrival. The use of savENRG® Ice Packs can ensure products remain frozen during transit without potential delays by using dry ice packaging.
Please Note: savENRG® Ice Packs must be conditioned in a commercial freezer set at or below -35°C (-31°F) or colder. These packs cannot be conditioned in residential freezers.
Who Should Use These?
In-vitro diagnostic (IVD) Labs, Pharmaceutical and Vaccine Manufacturers, Lab Couriers, and Food Service Providers all directly benefit from savENRG® PCM Ice Packs, precisely protecting temperature-controlled products below -20°C throughout the cold chain shipping process.
savENRG ® Freezer Packs -10˚C (+14˚F)
savENRG® Freezer Packs are manufactured using a water-based phase change material (PCM) that solidifies as the surrounding temperature drops from 0°C to -15°C (+32°F to +5°F), and melts absorbing heat as the temperature rises from -15°C to 0°C (+5°F to +32°F).
savENRG® PCM Freezer Packs are an excellent standard gel pack substitute for shipping embryo biopsy samples, plasma, and many vaccines requiring 0°C to -10°C temperature control during transport.
savENRG® Freezer Packs are long lasting multi-use gel pack substitutes used to keep frozen products below 0°C (+32°F). This gel pack substitute requires no special safety or handling precautions, is non-hazardous, and can be easily charged in a residential freezer.
Biological samples, plasma, vaccines, and other frozen goods shipped with gel packs overnight using a courier service may potentially thaw out as the gel pack moves past its freeze point at 0°C (+32°F). The use of savENRG® Freezer Packs ensures payloads are maintained and shipped frozen without the increased risks of temperature excursions.
In-vitro diagnostic (IVD) Labs, Lab Couriers, and Food Service Providers all directly benefit from savENRG® PCM Freezer Packs, precisely protecting temperature-controlled products below 0°C (+32°F) throughout the cold chain shipping process.
savENRG ® Cool Packs +5°C (+41°F)
savENRG® Cool Packs are manufactured using a paraffin-based phase change material (PCM).
This PCM solidifies as the surrounding temperature drops from 8°C to 2°C (47°F to 36°F), releasing heat and melting as the temperature rises from 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 47°F), absorbing heat.
savENRG® PCM Cool Packs work best in the range of 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 47°F), while standard gel packs work best in the range of -5°C to 5°C (23°F to 41°F).
When a standard gel pack is used for refrigerated packaging requiring a temperature range of 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 47°F), it only maintains products in the temperature range of -5°C to 5°C (23°F to 41°F), greatly increasing the risk of overcooling or freezing. Water based gel packs freeze and thaw at 0°C, providing challenges for direct temperature control above and below 0°C.
savENRG® Cool Packs provide a direct constant 5°C temperature, maintaining perfect temperature control for refrigerated requirements in temperature controlled packaging solutions. Along with long-lasting thermal protection, savENRG® Cool Packs provide reusable, sustainable, and environmentally-friendly refrigerants for Cold Chain packaging solutions.
Who Should Use These?
In-Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) Labs, Pharmaceutical and Vaccine Manufacturers, Lab Couriers, and Food Service Providers all directly benefit from savENRG® Cool Packs, precisely protecting your temperature controlled products at a constant 5°C throughout the cold chain shipping process.
savENRG ® CRT Packs +18˚C (+64˚F)
savENRG® CRT Packs are manufactured using an organic phase change material (PCM) that solidifies as the surrounding temperature drops from 20°C to 15°C (68°F to 59°F), and melts absorbing heat as the temperature rises from 15°C to 20°C (59°F to 68°F).
savENRG® PCM CRT Packs provide an excellent alternative to standard gel packs for specialty pharmaceutical products and biological samples that require a controlled room temperature during transportation.
savENRG® CRT Packs are multi-use gel pack substitutes used to keep controlled room temperature products above +15°C (59°F). This gel pack substitute requires no special safety or handling precautions and is non-hazardous.
Unlike standard gel packs which freeze and thaw at 0°C, savENRG® CRT Packs freeze and thaw precisely at +18°C, ensuring constant CRT temperature control and avoiding the risk of overcooling.
Please Note: savENRG® CRT Packs can be easily conditioned in a residential refrigerator set at or below +5°C (+42°F)
Who Should Use These?
In-vitro diagnostic (IVD) Labs, Reagent Manufacturers, Lab Couriers, and online pharmacies all directly benefit from savENRG® CRT Packs, precisely protecting your temperature-controlled products at +18°C throughout the cold chain shipping process.
savENRG ® Ambient Packs +22 (+72˚F)
savENRG® Ambient Packs are manufactured using a water-based phase change material (PCM) that solidifies as the surrounding temperature drops from +25°C to +15°C (+77°F to +59°F), and melts absorbing heat as the temperature rises from +15°C to +25°C (+59°F to +77°F).
savENRG® PCM Ambient Packs provide an excellent alternative to standard gel packs for blood specimens, platelets, and medications.
savENRG® Ambient Packs are multi-use gel pack substitutes used to keep room temperature products between +15°C to +25°C (+59°F to +77°F).
Compared to gel packs, savENRG® Ambient Packs require no special safety or handling precautions, are non-hazardous, environmentally friendly, and provide consistent stability over multiple uses for thousands of cycles. Because savENRG® Ambient Packs operate at 22°C and have 1.5 times the density as compared to gel packs, they provide precise temperature control with smaller quantities that standard gel packs cannot match.
Please Note: savENRG® Ambient Packs can be easily conditioned in any environment less than +18°C (+65°F)
